Job Description: JOB TITLE: Transportation Design Project ManagerLOCATION: Baltimore Office Responsibilities: Lead and provide oversight for transportation design and engineering program. The preferred candidate should possess good technical, leadership, managerial, and communication skills. The candidate should have existing client relationships and possess ability to make decisions regarding project development. The candidate will be responsible for business development and financial management of program. Specific activities that will likely be performed at this position include: -Generate the scope, schedule and budget parameters for roadway design projects. -Manage the execution of projects within the scope, schedule and budget. -Manage design staff including mentoring and training. -Report project performance to the client Vice President MD Transportation on a weekly basis. -Identify and resolve issues related to the performance of the project, including the generation of supplemental scope, schedule and budget requests. -Develop and implement QA/ QC plans for projects. -Manage sub consultants performance. -Supervise and train design engineers and technicians who are direct reports to the Supervisor. -Perform Annual Performance Reviews and participate in compensation analysis for the direct reports to this Supervisor. Qualifications: BSCE or equivalent degree required. PE required 8-15 years of applicable roadway design experience in Maryland. Microstation and GeoPak experience required. AutoCAD Civil 3D experience a plus. Familiarity with AASHTO, MSHA design standards, practices and policies.
