Job Description: Position Title:Internal IT AuditorLocation: Sterling, VA Status: None Responsibilities: The IT Auditor is responsible for assisting management with implementation of sound IT controls, and conducting internal audits of Company’s IT platforms and processes. He / she will assist management in performing IT risk assessments, evaluating critical business processes, and systems against company’s policies & procedures and best practices. Key responsibilities include defining scope, analyzing controls, writing audit reports, and reporting results to key stakeholders: -Provide high quality, professional day-to-day execution of internal audit engagements and projects in line with company’s risk management practices -Develop and execute audit programs -Review SOX Finance and IT general controls testing conducted by contracted third party -Assist in preparing risk assessments and annual audit plans -Assist in the auditing of new and existing information systems and operating environments -Concisely and accurately communicate audit findings through work papers and detailed formal reports -Assist in the interpretation and communication of information to management -Support annual SOC compliance efforts Qualifications/Education: -Two to three years of Big Four IT audit experience -Basic knowledge and experience performing operating and database system security reviews -Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, management information systems, finance, accounting or other related degree -Professional Certification such as CISA, CISSP, CPA, CIA, or similar strongly preferred -Understanding of current accounting (GAAP) and auditing (GAAS) principles -Understanding of commonly used internal control frameworks, including COSO and COBIT -Knowledge of auditing processes and methodologies, including developing process flows -Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions and methodologies for achieving compliance -Working knowledge and experience with auditing tools and Microsoft Office - Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio -Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills -Interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence others and establish credibility with business partners -Desire to make a positive impact with the ability to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities -Enthusiastic and energetic
