Job Description: Senior Web Developer Location: Springfield, VA Clearance: TS/SCI (CI Poly preferred) Our client is an innovative product and services company based in Reston, VA. We are hiring a Senior Software Developer to initially support a program focused on advancement of geospatial science, and to deliver innovative tools and processes to address difficult geospatial intelligence challenges. The Senior Software Developer researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software. Also, he/she will be involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. RESPONSIBILITIES Design, prototype, develop, and implement applications using a number of Web programming languages. Leverage skills and tools, including Internet, intranet, and extranet based applications development, HTML DOM, JavaEE, Drools, relational databases, JavaScript and JavaScript libraries, and DevOps Jenkins-based continuous integration and deployment Deploy software and serve as a key contributor by performing work that is critical to project success Provide influence at the account level and at the client management level. Solve highly technical and complex problems, as required Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections. Work under minimal supervision, and provide input to project-related decisions REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Active TS/SCI Clearance (Poly preferred not required) Experience and Degree Requirement (one of the following meets): 19+ years of related work experience (demonstrates software development with web based coding and development (web, html, java), or a Bachelor’s Degree (in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science) plus 16+ years of relevant work experience, or a Master’s Degree (in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science) and 9+ years of relevant work experience 9 years of experience with Web development and working with a Web development team Experience with deploying software Experience with Drools business rules management Experience with front-end Web development and design, including HTML DOM, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, and Bootstrap Experience with developing in JavaScript and JavaScript libraries, including AngularJS Experience with DevOps Jenkins-based continuous integration and deployment Knowledge of JavaEE Web development, including JPA, JTA, and JAX-RS Knowledge of relational databases design and development, including MySQL Must be able to work collaboratively with other systems engineers, network engineers, and developers Demonstrates client interfacing skills to include good communication and organizational skills ADDITIONAL DESIRE QUALIFICATION (NOT REQUIRED) Experience with deploying software to Amazon Web Services (AWS) or C2S preferred Experience with Linux
