Our Bethesda, MD customer is looking to hire an organized and energized Office Manager and Bookkeeper into a staff position. The position is full time (40-40+ hours weekl)Experienced bookkeepers with an accounting background and a deep knowledge of Quickbooks will be given top consideration, yet top-flight office managers without bookkeeping experience are also encouraged to apply.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks and will be able to work independently with little or no supervision. This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting an operation of a diverse community.A working knowledge of Quickbooks, or the ability to learn quickly, is a must.Only applicants with 2+ years of office administration and booking experience will be considered. Applicants from the restaurant and/or event industry will be given preference.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Office management and procedures- Perform daily invoicing and accounts payable processes- Oversight of office systems- Manage vendor relationships- Maintain office supplies, accounts, and files (paper and paperless)- Track expiration of business licenses, insurance, freelancersí W-9s, etc.- Recommend and implement process improvements to create greater efficiency- Administration of insurances, contracts and other similar administrative needs- Administration of human resources functions (for a small office)- Coordinate reimbursements and petty cash
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:- Our ideal candidate will also be qualified to perform all daily, weekly, and monthly bookkeeping duties for the operations
REQUIREMENTS:- Minimum two years of professional office administrative experience- Demonstrably excellent skills in office software (MS Office, Google Drive, Publisher)- Experience generating invoices in Quickbooks (or ability to learn quickly)- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work- Attention to detail and problem solving skills- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Team player- Flexibility in scheduling work hours
