Architectural Project Manager 

Description

Our customer is currently seeking an Architectural Project Manager for our Endwell, NY office.
This person must be a leader who is committed to getting things done and has the leadership skills to facilitate effective performance with the team’s they manage. The Project Manager (PM) represents the firm (internally and externally) and must do so with a high degree of professionalism. The PM is responsible for the quality of work performed, client service, project performance, marketing, reputation of the office, contract management, staff development, and billing & collections. The PM has the authority to speak for the firm in dealing with the client and to direct and expedite the work. An ideal PM is a driven individual who will conduct their duties with strong technical and professional competence while also exhibiting energetic enthusiasm for the work.

Primary Duties:
- Responsible for client satisfaction & strengthening client relationships
- Responsible for project quality via full compliance with Quality Management System requirements
- Responsible for project financial performance (multiplier)
- Acts as a representative of the firm

Supporting Duties:
- Responsible for the design quality and technical integrity of the work.
- Programing, planning, and directing the technical drawing efforts
- Writing specifications
- Responsible for schedule adherence
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills in order to interact with staff, other trades, consultants, and clients
- Must have good leadership skills that facilitate providing day-to-day direction to technical staff in the performance of their duties
- Participate in the negotiations with the client
- Identify out-of-scope work, discuss immediately with Group Director and then the client
- Participate in establishing the staffing and scheduling requirements for project completion
- Responsible for coordinating and scheduling outside subconsultants/subcontractors
- Responsible for invoicing projects promptly; following-up to collect unpaid receivables
- Schedule and conduct necessary client and internal meetings. Prepare minutes of the meeting and distribute promptly following the meeting
- Respond promptly to phone calls, e-mails, faxes and other forms of communication
- Assist the Group Director in the preparation of proposals and Agreements
- Assist the Group Director in the implementation of the marketing plan and goals established for the office. The Project Manager has primary responsibility for maintaining current clients. This includes an awareness of all projects clients might be undertaking
- Assist with the business development efforts of the firm including assisting in written proposals, fee development, interviews, and capturing new work

Education Required:
- Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree with 12-20 years of relevant experience
- Architectural registration
- LEED –AP, desired
- Must possess a valid driver's license
