Job Description:

Our Client is seeking a Top Secret cleared Network Administrator. This position will support the FBI's Enterprise Operations Center (EOC) which is tasked with the responsibility of continuously monitoring and maintaining the FBI's Enterprise computer system. The FBI manages a large number of programs that vary in scope and complexity to include three distinct networks at the Unclassified, Secret and Top Secret classification levels. Over 1,100 communication circuits connect three domestic data centers, 53 CONUS field divisions, three OCONUS field divisions, approximately 500 smaller domestic/OCONUS remote offices, and 91 offices located in foreign countries. The FBI services approximately 44,000 users. The EOC staff provides enterprise-level Information Technology (IT) operations and maintenance support for all applications, servers, network devices, wireless smartphones, multi-function printers and workspace equipment at all FBI facilities.

Candidates for Network Administrator positions will have provide continuous pro-active monitoring and management of the unclassified, classified, and WAN Transport networks. Network Administrators are responsible for rapid recovery of network outages and conducting network maintenance while receiving work direction from the Tier 2 Operations Manager. Candidates will execute conference calls for assigned maintenance activities and outages, along with updating and resolving outages and maintenance using the Service Manager ticketing system. Network Administrators will be responsible for understanding and ensuring compliance in meeting critical Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
Duties will include monitoring and maintenance of all the routers, switches, TACLANEs, WAN Accelerators, Firewalls, and Load Balancers used to provide connectivity and communication necessary for all enterprise users to access the server and systems needed to perform their duties. Network Administrators must possess knowledge of router and switch technology, configuration of such devices, and have the experience required to verify operational readiness and availability. In addition, candidates should have the basic understanding of network management tools (i.e., HP Network Node Manager (NNM), HP Network Automation (NA), NMIS, Riverbed Cascades) necessary to troubleshoot and efficiently manage these devices.

-Troubleshooting network outages
-Troubleshooting testing various WAN circuits (Serial T1, DS3, OC3, OC192, Ethernet TLS)
-Upgrading Cisco Routers and Switch IOS software
-IOS CLI and basic commands used to troubleshoot
-Using tools such as ping, traceroute, etc. to isolate network issues and outages
-Working with access control list (ACLs)
-Creating and updating tickets and reports related to network problems, issues, and trends
-Working with STP, VLANs, VTP, DTP, and LACP, CDP, 802.1Q, and port security
-O&M of Cisco 1800, 1900,2800, 2900, 3800, 3900, 7200, ASR 1000 series routers
-O&M of Cisco 2900, 3750, 4500, 6500 Series switches
-O&M of Cisco ASA 5500 Series Firewalls
-O&M of Cisco WAE 612, WAE 7341, NME-WAE, WAAS 674 WAN Accelerators
-O&M of KG-175A, KG-175D TACLANEs


Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

2-5 years of directly related experience in network administration and support.
