Job Description: ob Title: Cisco Senior Network EngineerLocation: Ft. Bragg, NCl Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance Certification: Security+ or Higher 8570 compliance Description: As a recognized authority, evaluates, designs, documents, installs, implements, tests, performs problem isolation and resolution, monitors, tunes and sets standards. Maintains a complex range of computer network components and systems. Plans and coordinates major information technology initiatives. Researches, evaluates and recommends new computer network equipment and technologies. Utilizes monitoring, performance analysis, network management, software and hardware equipment to trouble shoot and isolate problems, gauge network performance and trace data and protocol activity. Devises solutions to complex operational problems within the capacity and operational limitations of installed equipment. Develops and executes contingency plans for network software and hardware failures including isolated and major outages. Provides internal consulting, technical guidance, information and support to application developers, computer operations, workstation support, company management and departmental clients. Assists in internal training programs. Meets regularly with other network team leads to plan and coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues and communicate changes. Required Skills •Provide enterprise level design, support, and monitoring for wireless and wired networks. This would include directing and performing configuration, administration, troubleshooting and support of networking devices, WAN/LAN optimization systems, VoIP/RoIP/Video (desired), and encryption devices. •Core Routing and Switching: EIGRP, GRE tunnels, InterVLAN routing, redistribution, ACLs, Multicast, QoS, NBAR, NAT, VPN, Layer 2/3 switching, HSRP, Spanning tree •Supplement Routing and Switching: TACACS, VoIP (Cisco Call Manager), RoIP (Wave), LAN/WAN optimization (Riverbed), monitoring solutions (Solarwinds/NetMRI), encryption devices (KG175, KG250, etc) •Competent to work at a high technical level on all phases of network operations •Good communications skills; shows tact, effective listening skills and follow through •May be required to provide clear and effective technical direction to less experienced staff •Must be able to evaluate network performance and interact with users to solve complex problem Certifications/Education •CCIE Certification Required (Route Switch preferred) •DoD 8570 certification Required (Security + minimum, CISSP preferred)
