Job Description: Position Title: Sr. Storage/Backup AdminLocation: Northern, VA Status: US Citizen Clearance: Secret Position Description: Responsible for technical management of storage and backup solutions to include monitoring storage consumption, forecasting capacity requirements, and provisioning storage on demand. SAN storage planning, design and implementation in a clustered environment. Installation and administration of server based production system as it applies to internal projects. Review of server infrastructure, including taking proactive measures to ensure continued stability and assist in the development and/or revision of server based standards, guidelines and policies as determined by internal stakeholders. Maintain reliable vendor management with outside support organizations in the maintenance, service and purchase of LAN equipment and accessories. Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field or equivalent expereince Additional Skills: a. 8-10 years of experience designing and implementing data migration architecture b. Design, install, and engineer new storage purchases c. Provide day to day maintenance of data storage environments, including backup and recovery protocols d. Assist with capacity planning and make recommendations for strategic decisions e. Experience with CommVault backup solutions
