Job Description: Position Title: SAN AdministratorLocation: Washington, DC Status: US Citizen Clearance: Active Top-Secret Our client is in serach of a SAN Administrator to provide support for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the customer's data storage infrastructure. Support shall include, but is not limited to: - Administer data storage devices (disk) - Provision disk space to IT users as requested and required (Carve out disk space) - Actively monitor and manage disk storage capacity using monitoring tools - Manage and provide current disk storage usage statistics, provide future projected growth estimates Procurement Sensitive - Provide integration services for new disk storage into the production environment - Provide technical refresh data migration services from existing disk data storage devices to newly acquired disk storage devices - Provide technical support and resolution of disk error, failures, and servicing - Provide storage support for virtualized data platforms - Provide customer support as needed Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience. Experience: 8-10 years of related systems engineering experience. Preferred experience with the following: - Experience with NetApp, EMC, Hitachi, or IBM Data Storage Management is a plus - DASD and/or Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices - SAN Volume Controller (SVC) - Fiber Channel Switches - Virtualized Technologies
