Job Description:

Position Title: Data Analyst/Support
Position Location: Washington, DC
Status: Green Card
Clearance: None

Duties:
Candidate will be expected to aid organization by working independently to perform program support duties, data analysis, data interpretation and reporting.
Program support duties include but are not limited to:
-track and manage financial allocations and expenditures;
-track and measure program performance against established goals;
-respond to program inquiries;
-perform as a liaison to other divisions; and
-provide general subject matter expertise as it relates to refugee and immigration issues;
-coordinate with state analysts in state related matters pertaining to assigned grant programs.
-serve as alternate for the production of financial reports from accounting system
-serve as the back-up analyst for the Social Services and Targeted Assistance Discretionary and Formula spending plans;
-serve as a back-up for maintaining a system of controls, including document images, electronic files, paper records, and data bases for audit trails, and end of the year fiscal closeout for all programs in shared network for files for assigned areas.

Data analysis duties include:
-consult with the external clients and internal staff to determine data management needs and objectives;
-support actual data collection and data analysis;
-prepare presentations that reflect the results of the data analysis; and
-coordinate with outside organizations and other technical experts to effect data collection and dissemination;
-develop and maintain tracking system for all internal and external population data inquires;
-review population data inquires to verify inquiry source and integrity and responds in a timely manner;
-participate in the review and analysis of population data during the State Match process as well as an ongoing basis;
-provide population updates, data analysis and reports as requested by Budget Director and/or management.

Education/Equivalent:
Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science, Statistics or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Experience:
2-5 years of related statistics/data analysis experience.
Unique/Additional RequirementsÔ
Strong analytical skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; expert user of MS Office products;
Experience working with vulnerable populations, knowledge of refugee program.
