Job Description: Position Title: Engineering ManagerLocation:Northern, VA Status: US Citizen Clearance: Top-Secret Position Description: The Engineering Manager will be responsible for the accountability and supervision of a team of system engineers and administrators. The Engineering Manager will guide the teams through complex projects as well as day to day operations of complex computer networks. Ability to recognize talent and appoint technicians into a position to succeed is a must. The position also entails extensive interaction with lead decision makers and must be able to provide accurate technical input on all aspects of new and/or ongoing projects. Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field or equivalent expereince Additional Skills: a. Proven experience in IT management b. Knowledge of technical management, information system analysis, and computer hardware/software systems c. Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT operations d. Expertise in data center management and governance e. Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and installation f. Knowledge of NIST 800-53 technical security guidelines g. Ability to manage personnel and guide a team through complex projects h. Manage staff by recruiting, training, and coaching employees i. Ability to communicate employee job expectations
